HOME BUYING 101

In outline form it is like this:

1. Contact me to set up a home search for you

   a. If you are out of town or out of country we can do this via the internet.

b. If you are here we’ll load up in the Yukon and get going!

2. Pre-qualify for a mortgage that fits your comfort level.
   
   
3. We will go “house shopping”; when you are in the area we can schedule time to see any listings that are out there; it does not have to be a Coldwell Banker listed home for me to work with you.
   
   
4. We will negotiate an offer that works best for you.
   
   
5. You will finish your mortgage application, do a home inspection and call your insurance company.

   a. I will handle the details of the title work, WDO inspection, survey, appraisal, needed repairs, any subsequent negotiations, review the settlement statement, and accompany you at the closing.

6. Go to the closing, sign a bunch of papers.
   
   
7. Call it your home and start making memories!
   
   
8. AND FOR THE GUYS; this is also the time you get to do the painting, buy the new furniture and hang the blinds, etc. that your wife wants done!

As you can see in outline form it really isn’t that complicated. I can handle all the details, and generally from the time you pick a house until the time you move in and call it home can be anywhere from as little as 15 days (even less in some situations) to as long as 45 if you need the extra time.
